County Home Sales

The monthly home sales numbers are in. From today's News-Gazette:
Champaign County home sales back on rise in April
The local housing market rebounded in April after a weak March, with home sales up more than 20 percent compared with the same period a year ago.

A total of 267 homes were sold in April, up from 221 in April 2017, and the median home-sale price increased 2.6 percent to $149,000, according to the Champaign County Association of Realtors.

"We had a great month in April," said Max McComb, the association's president. "We ran a little behind the first couple months of the year due to weather and inventory concerns. Now we're really back on track with where we've been the last two years."

In March, the group reported that home sales were down slightly from the previous March, declining from 212 to 207.
