Champaign County Farm Bureau Foundation

In this week's Friday on the Farm at the News-Gazette website, Myla Monroe Earth Partners Agriculture Literacy Coordinator for the Champaign County Farm Bureau Foundation (I imagine business cards with small font) explains their outreach to area schools. This includes understanding where their food comes from, but also the technological and scope of agriculture jobs beyond farming itself. They offer scholarships and educational outreach for modern agriculture. As their website states:
When it comes to agriculture, it’s time to think beyond crops. Think business. Think communication. Think mechanics. Think fashion. You may be eligible for a Foundation scholarship...

Local agriculture plays an important role in our daily lives. Our authentic agricultural-based resources bring agriculture into the classroom with the intent of creating a more informed consumer.
